Six Months and Counting!!!!

Today is offically 6 months until our wedding. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I finally got the "save the dates" in the mail today, so hopefully you will all be saving the date to join us for our special day. We are still working on the registry, and by we, I mean me...:) but Mark did offer an opinion on the dinnerware color and shape and said other than that, he was fine with what I picked out. That's been kinda fun working through the list of items to register for and picking out what I like. Just a note about the registry, it's with Bed Bath and Beyond and somehow I managed to get us in their system twice, so be sure you are looking at the registry # 4657473. The other one doesn't have anything listed, so if you end up on that one, just page back and select the other one. Well, back to work!

We've got Color! :)

Well, after a wonderful and fun filled day this past Saturday, Jen Palmer (my sister and matron of honor) and Jen Wetzel (my best friend and bridesmaid) and I spent a few hours at David's Bridal and finally found the right dress in the right color and the right combination. I am sooo excited because now I feel like I can fill in the rest of the color details for the wedding. I also secured a florist, one that I really connected with, and got some great ideas of how to use autumn colors and get just the look I am going for! I finally order the "Save the Date's" as well, so those should be going out in the mail some time in the next two weeks. Still have to fine a cake maker, but other than that, the major stuff is all taken care of, so I am pretty happy about that and looking forward to the fun little details. See you all soon!

Still can't decide on colors

It's been 9 months that I have been planning this wedding and I still can't decide on what colors to use for the wedding. The thing I love about fall is all the beautiful colors, and that's the problem...there are too many options. I want just the right fit of colors and I can't seem to make a decision. And from all the brides I have talked to, they say it's so insignificant in the long run, but somehow I can't just pick some and stick with them. Perhaps its the ADD I have had my whole life...:) Hopefully it will make more sense once I get Jen and Jen into the bridal shop and see what colors they look good in. OK...back to work now.

Can't believe it's already almost February!

It's my first time posting to our new website, but its been a long time in the making. I remember when Mark asked me to marry him in May of 2008 and I thought the fall of 2009 seemed like so far away, but now it's getting closer every day! I have gotten most of the major planning done and I am meeting with the florist today, so that is one more thing to cross off the list. For those of you who are interested in booking your hotel rooms, we do have a block of rooms at the Sheraton Four Points. Check the link at the top right of the web page to the link to the reservations. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone at our wedding. Keep checking the website for updates.

This is Mark and I just set up our web page. We are going to try to update it on a regular basis to keep everyone up to date. I am about 2 months late on this project, but I think we are on track with almost everything else. Jos will update the page with the specifics.
